The heart centre is where this life energy anchors, as if the pulse of the universe is stepped down to become the beating of our physical heart, carrying life and love into every cell of the body.

In esoteric philosophy, the heart is seen as both a gateway and distributor: it links our lower aspects with our higher, and circulates vitality throughout the whole system. The source of love flowing through the heart is not sentimental. It is the driving force of life itself - the reason we live, breathe and serve.

The heart centre is very much connected to the head centre, where another thread - the thread of consciousness - is anchored. Heart and head ideally work together in harmony. This is another key area of development in the healing work, as well as on the ‘spiritual path’ (which for many, is one and the same).
