Barbara Broome

Barbara Broome has been a trustee since 2010. She completed her healing training in 2002 and has supported the committee in various roles, including helping to organise the annual INEH UK conferences. Barbara is a founding member of the esoteric study book group, which used to meet in person in Chichester and now meets online each month. She plays an active role in her daughters’ and grandchildren’s lives, having retired from working in a local GP practice for many years. “It’s a privilege to be part of a group that really cares about the health and wellbeing of others.”

Helen Frankland

Helen Frankland is Chairwoman of the INEH, a role she has held since 1985. She has been teaching and practising Esoteric – or Subtle Energy – Healing for more than 40 years, and was part of the original group of healers trained by INEH founder Brenda Selby-Johnston. Helen is also a music teacher, hands-on grandmother and a much-in-demand group facilitator, leading meditations and participating in ‘goodwill’ groups all over the world. “What keeps us together in these groups? Telepathy I think, between members horizontally at soul, mental and emotional levels, and vertically with the spiritual hierarchy. The glue is love.”

Susannah Lawson

Susannah Lawson joined the committee in March 2023. She trained in Subtle Energy Healing with Dinah Lawson and Maddy Harland in 2008-2010, and after further training, became a teacher herself in 2019. She is also a Nutritional Therapist, HeartMath practitioner and author of four books including The Stress Cure, with Patrick Holford. With a background in journalism, Susannah supports the INEH’s communications strategy and development. She also edits Lifestream, a twice-yearly journal produced for members of the INEH and the National Association of Energy Healing (NAEH), which is a sister organisation in the USA. “The INEH provides practical tools for holistic living, healing as well as personal and spiritual development, so it’s an honour to be involved in this work.”

Karen Lock.jpg

Karen Lock

Karen Lock joined the committee in February 2021 and became the organiser for the INEH UK annual conference, then took over the role of Treasurer the following year, and is also currently covering the role of Company Secretary. She did her Esoteric Healing training locally in Hampshire between 2010-12 and has been practising ever since. Before she recently retired from commercial work, Karen’s career included customer relations, sponsorship and hospitality roles for luxury brands at major sporting events. She’s calling on this experience to work with fellow committee member Susanah Lawson to help steer the INEH’s new communications strategy. “I am motivated by the will to serve and feel honoured to give time, energy and love to the INEH, and to experience the positive difference we can make to those who seek support.”

Ian Yearwood

Ian Yearwood has been the INEH’s Membership Secretary since October 2011. He manages INEH member contact, renewals and queries, and shares regular communications including news, events, reminders for ‘Self Healing’ days (the first of each month) and New and Full Moon times/dates for meditation. “Within the INEH, there is a core group that stands steady at the heart, serving the whole. I try to act as if I am part of that core with strands connecting to all.”

Angela Sims

Ambassador for Radiatory Healing

Angela completed her Healing Training in 2002 and has been a member of the healing community ever since. With a lifelong commitment to making the world a better place, she brings a wealth of experience from her academic achievements, professional background and leadership roles.

Her journey has led her to work as a Decision Pattern Action Profile Managing Director and Leadership Executive Coach, alongside her long-term support for INEH and its training programmes. Through these roles, Angela has supported many individuals and organisations in developing greater clarity, confidence and purpose.

In 2025, Angela was invited to become the Amabassador for Radiatory Healing, which she accepted with honour. In this role, she coordinates the INEH’s Distance Healing service offered to the general public. This is for a six-week period, and participants may request to extend if they wish. Anyone wishing to receive Distance Healing can complete our Request Form

At the end of each six-week healing period, clients receive a confirmation email and feedback and/or testimonial request (see here). Angela says: “I feel deeply honoured to provide this weekly service. I strongly believe it is a meaningful contribution to world service and a valuable support for personal and collective wellbeing.”

Lyn.png

Lyn Ng

Ambassador for Gatherings

Lyn trained as a Healing Practitioner with INEH founding member Dinah Lawson in 1998, having waited 13 years after first meeting Dinah for the right time to commit herself to study, once her children had grown up and left home.

Lyn served as a Trustee on the INEH Committee from April 2019 until Autumn 2025, using her innate creativity to help prepare the practical and fun aspects for the INEH conferences and workshops.

Although she recently retired from her more formal Trustee role, she was keen to remain involved – and so transitioned directly to an INEH Ambassador role. This means she will continue to offer support with INEH annual gatherings and events.

In her early career, Lyn was a children’s nurse at Charing Cross and St George’s hospital in London. She then qualified as a yoga teacher in 1988 and has been teaching ever since, as well as supporting student yoga teachers.

Lyn says: “The INEH has helped me develop my teaching and my understanding of life. I like to think I am the housekeeper, helping to prepare the practical aspects for INEH conferences and workshops.” (Lyn also prepares wonderful food for everyone!)
