Wholeness. Energy Healing helps to reconnect you with your deeper life's purpose – bringing balance to body, clarity to mind, compassion to heart, and alignment to the soul. Healing does not always mean cure. Esoteric healing can also help you live with dis-ease by easing discomfort. It can also offer calm at the end of life for both carers and cared for.

Is Energy Healing the same as Reiki or other healing methods?

Accepted Answer

No. Reiki and other approaches are valuable, but the INEH form of Energy Healing – also called Esoteric Healing – is distinct. Based on the Ageless Wisdom teachings of Alice Bailey, it facilitates the flow of healing energy from the higher or spiritual self via the different centres (or chakras) to the physical glands, nerves, organs and systems of the body, as well as the emotional and mental aspects. Each session is tailored precisely to the individual – so no two healing sessions are ever the same. And the energy is never forced, but rather offered in accordance with the will of the client’s soul and for their highest good.

Can it help animals or children?

Yes. Many practitioners also work with children and animals). Children especially often respond quickly because their energy fields are open and receptive.

Absolutely. Balancing the centres and the nervous system has been shown to ease stress, calm anxiety and support a range of health issues.

What does a session feel like?

Accepted Answer

Most people describe feeling deeply relaxed, calm, and more “themselves”. Some notice warmth, lightness, or subtle energy shifts. Others simply notice the benefits later - clearer thinking, better sleep, or reduced stress, for example. Energy Healing may be given in person or remotely, and is always tailored gently to the individual. Sessions usually last 45- 60 minutes – and include some discussion time before and after the healing session.

Do you offer taster days or events?

Yes. The INEH hosts an annual Autumn Gathering that is open to all (not just members). Different teachers also offer taster events (see our Events section). Where does the energy come from?

Healing practitioners connect via a meditative technique of alignment and attunement to a universal source of healing energy. It’s this energy that is offered to you during a healing session, but only in accordance with your highest good (the energy is never forced). This means the practitioner never dictates the outcome or feels drained by the healing process – indeed, it can often be an energising experience for both practitioner and client!

How much does Energy Healing cost?

Each practitioner sets their own fees. Some have a set price, for example £30-50 per session. Others accept payment by donation.

Is it safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Energy Healing does not have any negative side effects, nor does it interfere with medical care. Practitioners are trained to work ethically and in accordance with the needs of the individual. It is complementary to, not a replacement for, professional medical treatment.

Does it only work if I believe in it?
